Zion National Park

While on vacation Kurt and I rented a car and drove from Nevada through Arizona to Utah to hike in Zion National Park. This was the best part of the vacation for me as I am just stunned with the beauty in these three states. I love to just be out in the fresh air taking a hike in the incredible mountains. The drive itself is just breath taking. The mountains change drastically just within those states. Coming from the dry desert like mountains of Nevada to the red tinted ranges in Arizona to the the lush green in Utah. This was my second time in this national park as I had visited years before and spent 4 to 5 days hiking and driving through Utah.    Zion National Park itself is incredible and had plenty of wildlife including mountain lions. I can not wait until my children are old enough to take them with us to hike some of the trails.

This is a tunnel that was dug and blasted through the mountain side to connect highways in the 1930's!
