If I stay in Jesus I will have much fruit

Well this past week we had a blast learning all about apples and the fruits of the spirit. We made applesauce, apple pie and many crafty trees. We learned all about the different kinds of apples. We guessed how many seeds each apple had and played catch with apples. I was impressed that I even learned some new things about apples.

no worries we did not use this dough for the actual pie just let her have a blast playing with it

Ashlynn Alice-Grace 2nd Fishy Party

It took a little longer to figure out the theme for Ashy's party this year. I really wanted the theme to be something she loved like a book or toy but I kept drawing a blank. She loves animals and one of her many favorite books is the Pout Pout Fish. So I decided to go with a fishy theme. We had candy sushi, sea water, sparkling limeade, pb sandwhiches cut out as fishies, goldfish bar, octopus pops, foreign fish (swedish fish), and a fishbowl made as jello with gummy fish, grilled cheese and tomato bisque and finished with a fishy cake and superman ice cream. The girls were in heaven and the day was perfect as it topped off at 70 degrees. For presents ashy received clothes, lots of books, a little wagon for her babies, a pink train track, movie (Despicable Me),a stuffed kitty cat and two cute animal hats!

Riding in the Basement

Ashy has been having a blast learning with her sister, pooping on the big girls potty and pushing every boundary she can find. She can count all of the way to 4 and loves to look in the sky and tell me if she can see the sun or the moon. She thinks everything is either a letter S or a T and thinks she can draw both. She is having a blast learning all of the songs that Cahill learns in her music class. She is uber excited for her Birthday party on Sunday which is a complete fishy party thanks to one of her favorite books called the Pout Pout Fish. We are still working on the eating of crayons but are getting a lot better. Here are a few pics of the last week with her riding her bike downstairs with her favorite hat she wears everywhere.

I went to check on her for her nap and this is how i found her. Propped up with her sister's slippers on just chillin...

I will live in grow and Jesus

Yes that is right you guessed it! Leaves Leaves and more leaves and of course the letter "L".. I must say I also really enjoyed this unit.. running through leaves and learning about trees and acting out the book "Caps for Sale". We rolled through the leaves, made leaf people, painted leaves, learned about tons of trees and all the parts of a tree. We danced like leaves and fell like leaves, smelled leaves and threw them up in the air..Me move onto Apples this week with the promise of homemade applesauce and apple pie and tons of great apple books..
