Grand Rapids Children's Zoo

For the last weekend of summer, Megan and I decided to surprise the kids with another trip to the zoo. Megan packed the car at night so the kids did not know and after piano practice we headed out. It took them about twenty minutes before they realized that something was suspicious. Once we told them where we were headed there was a lot of screaming and giggling all of the way down. Once we arrived at Mema and Grandpa Stimpsons we unloaded and headed out to Chucky Cheese where the kids played games until they almost dropped. Saturday morning we all headed out to the zoo with Mema. The day was freezing but we made the best of it. We bought the kids unlimited passes for the train and carousal and we got our money worth. After the zoo we did some shopping and headed back to the Stimpsons. Alice spoiled us with an amazing meal and while the meal was cooking we played a game of Apples to Apples. That night as I laid in bed exhausted I remember thanking the Lord for an amazing day.
