In our house Daddy typically reads to Cahill and walks her through her bedtime process and snuggles before sleepytime. This is a very precious time and she loves to have her daddy all to herself and try to convince him every night to read all of her books. But a couple times a week daddy has to close the store and I do the bedtime routine. Since I do not do this every night we end up reading about ten books and snuggling. On one of these occasions I put some lotion on Cahill and told her to let it soak in and not touch anything while it dried. She did such a good job and a couple books later she asks
"mom can I touch something?"
I said "sure honey what would you like to touch?"
Cahill said "you mommy"
Oh my heart just melted and I squeezed and kissed her and loved a lot..
So now every night we pretty much go through the same routine and conversation as she loved my reaction!
On another note Ashlynn has learned how to give great kisses and boy does she love to share them. Today for the first time she even blew a kiss.(of course to her sister who gets more love from her then her dad and I combined). Ashlynn loves to be sung to and has figured out a way to get momma singing. She will walk up to me and put her fingers together and climbing them up each other so I will sing "Itsy, Bitsy Spider". Or she will cup her hands together so I will sing "I am bringing home a baby bumble bee". Of course one time is not enough I have to sing it 10 times.
In other news Cahill went to her very first ballet class and she did so good. We will need to put in lots of practice time so she can learn the words with the steps as it is hard enough to stay in a line and remember to take her turn. But we will work on it as it is always fun to learn. (I will post pics on a later blog)
