New Things

It seems that something magical occurs in our home every day. I have two amazing children that learn so fast I can barely keep up with them. Cahill is singing the alphabet song and can count up to ten (not always in order). As I am writing this she runs up to me singing "Tomorrow, Tomorrow the sun will come out tomorrow". She loves anything musical and now tries to sing along to everything. We are slowing working on colors but right now everything is pink. But Cahill's biggest accomplishment is she is now sleeping in a big girl's bed. As most mom's can attest it is a scary thing to move your baby from a crib to a big girl bed. I waited to the last moment to do this as Cahill has always loved her crib and never tried to escape even though she has been able to for a long time. So Kurt and I bought a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom. Even when we showed her the new big girl bed she still wanted to sleep in the crib. But she is now happy in her big girl bed and has not once tried to climb out of it.

As for Ashlynn she sat up half of the way a couple days ago, she can stand( not by herself), she has discovered her hands and will actually grab at stuff she likes (megan's sweater), she can hold her head up all by herself (she has been doing this for a couple of weeks), she talks and talks ( i will upload a video) but her most recent accomplishment is she found her thumb. I am not sure if I am excited about this or not as I know it is a difficult habit to break but in the meantime seems to keep her very happy and she is not happy most of the time. Since she is now able to hold her head up we pulled out the swing and much to our delight she loves it. This has helped out tremendously as most days her tummy is pretty upset and the swing seems to calm her and make her feel better. This week is also a milestone as Cahill will be 2 and a half and Ashlynn is 11 weeks old. I must close this post to as I have to get the girl's ready for their first chiropractor appt.

This morning the girl's woke up together so Ashlynn and I crawled into bed with Cahill.
